10 Billionth Track Sold on iTunes

Apple's popular music, movies, TV shows and podcasts offering software service iTunes hit a milestone, when the iTunes online store sold its 10 billionth track, with Black Eyed Peas' I Gotta Feeling, the site's most downloaded track. Lady Gaga got the number two slot with Poker Face and the single Boom Boom Pow bagged the third slot.

While Gaga's Just Dance and Bad Romance featured in the top 25 most downloaded songs, Flo Rida, Katy Perry and Rihanna were credited with two tracks each in the top 25 most downloaded chart. British artists Coldplay and Leona Lewis featured in the top 10.

On the 55th birthday of the Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Apple flaunted the iTunes 10 billionth song download sale with a list of most downloaded songs and one lucky person who downloaded the 10 billion song got $10,000 worth iTunes gift card.

Apple had earlier reduced the pricing for iTunes with the launch of the third generation iPod Touch.

After iTunes and App Store, now iBook Store will show some downloading marvels for Apple.
