According to the Census Bureau Officials, every household in United States would receive a feedback form, which has to be returned by Census Day, April 1. In case the forms are not returned by April 1, the residents will be interviewed by census workers to get the questions answered. The Census Bureau’s statutory schedule requests for the completed 2010 Census to be released to the president by Dec. 31, 2010.
The main aim of the Census was to verify each state’s allotment of members in the U. S. House of Representatives, and the 2010 Census is likely to offer Texas four additional members of the House.
Mayor Betty Matthies revealed that another reason to support Seguinites to mail back the forms and guarantee an accurate count is due to economic opportunities and social programs which are based on population.
In 2000, long form had been provided. But, now long form has been replaced by the American Community Survey which the census bureau uses to collect the information of households from all areas of the country.
The Census Bureau affirms that household will get an American Community Survey once in five years. The Census Bureau pledged the privacy of the questionnaires and all identifiable information acquired from the forms.
