Museum of Opole in Poland reopens

Opole, Poland  - The Museum of Opole Silesia has reopened its doors to the public after a 12-month break for renovations, according to the local tourist office.

The building has been modernized and the exhibition space tripled in size. The original wing of the building is a former Jesuit college, parts of which date back to the 16th century.

The Baroque interior of the college's pharmacy has been completely restored to its original state, allowing visitors to find out what it was like to make medicines in the 17th century.

Part of the museum's collection also documents the history of the local German community, who make up an ethnic minority in the province of Opole.
