Baskin will Serve an Honorary Chair for Relay for Life This Year

Dr. Rebecca Baskin will serve an honorary chair for this year's Relay For Life event of Rutherford County. It will take place at Siegel High School on May 21st. To register, call your local American Cancer Society at 615-341-7324 or visit the website relayforlife. org/Rutherford.

"We are thrilled to have someone as devoted to the fight against cancer as Dr. Baskin serve as our Honorary Chair for this year's Relay For Life of Rutherford County," said Event Chair Janice Millsaps.

Baskin is an eminent personality and a very kind hearted cancer specialist. When her children were just infants, she developed breast cancer for which she underwent surgery and chemotherapy. With all her friends and family members on her side, she got well soon and resumed her work at the Murfreesboro Medical Clinic, where she along with her friends managed to set up a Breast Centre.

Baskin did her graduation from Oakland High School, thereafter went to David Lipscomb University and graduated from ETSU Medical School in Johnson City. She returned to Murfreesboro after completing her surgical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.

Baskin said, "Breast health evaluation and surgical procedures have become my passion and the majority of my practice".
