Release of JooJoo Tablet Device Delayed

All those who have pre-ordered Fusion Garage's JooJoo tablet, previously known as the CrunchPad, are in for a disappointment. The shipping date of the gadget has been delayed until March 25, as has been confirmed by the manufacturer of JooJoo, because of a "manufacturing error".

In early February, the CEO of Fusion Garage, Chandra Rathakrishnan had said that not only has the production of JooJoo started in full-swing, it will start shipping by the end of February. But unfortunately, the manufacturing problem with the device's 12.1-inch touchscreen has managed to set the shipping date back by a full month, and closer to that of Apple's iPad.

Fusion Garage has now announced that it will be providing all customers who pre-ordered the tablet with a "free JooJoo accessory" to make up for the delay, which is expected to be the tablet dock which costs $29.99.

An entry level iPad model, the JooJoo comes with a price tag of $499, and can be pre-ordered from Fusion Garage.
