Toyota Motor Corp. said on Friday that it would provide free transportation facilities to owners as their vehicles have been recalled, after being forced by officials the previous week.
Toyota accepted to pick up and return the recalled vehicles from customers' house for free. The free facilities are made available to all customers in the U. S. whose vehicles have been recalled for safety problems. The problems regarding vehicles are generally related to sticking accelerator pedals, floor-mat pedal entrapment, antilock-brake-system software updates and Tacoma front-drive-shaft inspection.
"Our 172,000 team members and dealers across North America are continuing to go above and beyond to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all of our customers”, said Jim Lentz, president and chief operating officer of Toyota Motors Sales.
The company had recollected more than six million vehicles in the U. S. to repair the vehicles.
Owners need not to be worried about driving their vehicles before the repairs are completed as Toyota will provide free transportation facilities.
For more information, customers should contact Toyota for the free transportation facilities and call on 800 331 4331.
