In the beginning, Google Buzz was expected to be another Twitter or even Facebook but it was actually described as a service that is bound to Gmail to share photos, updates or even videos and to also start new conversations with your friends. The thing which makes Google Buzz different than any other social site is that you can also get to know what happens at your friends' end too.

The thing about this is that you can get alerts on your friends' updates and also what their friends, who are your secondary friends, are doing. All their comments and updates are visible to you and it makes your friends circle bigger than what it basically was originally.

The success and failure of the Google Buzz would depend on the amount of chatter everyone has to endure. It is a given fact that there is a lot of chatter in Twitter and all other social networking sites, but it depends whether all will take kindly to the amount of noise the Buzz is prone to produce and it could become quite a nuisance.
