Finally, it's time for the rumors to step down. Brittany Murphy did not have drugs or alcohol in her body just before she died, nor she was "dangerously thin", the Los Angeles Coroner found.
The details of the Coroner's report say that Murphy had "elevated levels" of Vicodin and over-the-counter cold medications, but no illegal substances were found in her system.
The coroner stated pneumonia as the primary cause of death earlier this month. Drug intoxication and iron-deficiency anemia were considered as contributing factors.
The coroner concluded that her death was "accidental but preventable", proving Los Angeles Police Department's repeated claim that they did not suspect any foul play in the death of the 8 Mile actress.
The report quashes the rumors of her "frail appearance" in her last days, which gave way to a lot of media speculation, linking it with drug and alcohol abuse.
"The overall appearance of the body is consistent with the recorded height of 65 inches and the recorded weight of 115 pounds. The body appears well developed, normally muscular and slim but not excessively thin", said the Coroner's report.
The 32 year old 8 Mile star was found "unresponsive" at her Hollywood Hills home on Dec. 20, despite the frantic attempts that were made to revive her by her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, and her mother, Sharon.
Murphy was buried at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on December 24, 2009.
