Toyota Motor Corp.'s President, Akio Toyoda will be addressing a press conference in Beijing, tomorrow, to share the company's quality problems and causes of the recall. He looks forward to relieve the consumers by clarifying on the problems.
Recently Toyota has recalled more than 75,000 vehicles in China. However, it is much lesser than 8.5 million vehicles recalled worldwide since October 2009.
The Japanese giant is still hopeful of growing well in China.
The rise in the number of recalls by Toyota in U.S. has affected the company's reputation badly.
Commenting on the Toyota’s latest move to China, a J.D. Power Analyst, John Bonnell, said, "It is a wake-up call for the Chinese. This is not easy; this is a major challenge to get the product right and keep customers satisfied".
"There is no question but that the Chinese market will overtake the Japanese market", added Yoshimi Inaba, Toyota's top North American Executive.
Appearing at a nationwide broadcast news show, on Sunday, Japanese Transport Minister Seiji Maehara, complained that Toyota's "corporate culture" reflects a lack of enthusiasm in speaking clearly on these recalls.
"The company is not taking the problem as seriously as it should", he said, saying the company's Quality Chief, Shinichi Sasaki, came to explain the problems to the ministry only after being asked to do so.
