The next-week-scheduled CeBIT technology expo in Germany will be the platform for the unveiling of the 1.5-inch-wide `Barebone XS35' - a sleek new mini PC from the small-form-factor desktop PC-maker Shuttle.
The elegant, brushed metal, mini PC XS35, the sleekest nettop on the market thus far, is powered by the Intel Atom D510 1.66GHz Dual Core Processor, and boasts a high-performance NVIDIA GT218 - the Ion2 GPU - as its graphics card.
The inertly-cooled XS35 is an energy-efficient and noiseless mini PC, which features a multitude of connecting options including HDMI, VGA, 5x USB ports, Ethernet, audio, and a multi-format card reader. The impressive device, which is also fitted with a DVD writer, will be capable of playing back Full HD video!
What is even more striking is the fact that the HD-ready out-of-the box XS35 is in line with the VESA-consistent mounting interface; thereby making the small size of the nettop ideal for mounting behind flat panel displays.
Going by the buzz, the `too good to be true' XS35 - the cost of which still remains undisclosed - will likely hit the European markets in the second quarter of 2010; while no launch date of the device has yet been specified for the US markets.
