Millions of people were given the freedom to decide and download the browser of their choices instead of using the traditional internet explorer of Microsoft.
Microsoft’s new browser ballot screen was shown to the users in Europe, encouraging people to use this browser.
Competitors like Google decide to be a part of an agreement with European Union regulators, by introducing new and better software.
European users can select any browsers from Apple’s Safari, Google’s Chrome, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla’s Firefox, Opera, AOL, Maxthon, K-Meleon, Flock, Avant Browser, Sleipnir and Slim Browser.
Google also decided to promote an advertisement campaign for chrome in Britain. Google will introduce extra privacy controls and a foreign language translator for website pages in its browser.
According to the figures by The Times, the number of people using Internet Explorer had declined in the past year. Facts from Nielsen, the market researchers, showed that the previous 12 months 75% of Britons were using Microsoft’s browser, but that number has also declined by more than 6%.
