Bartz Says Yahoo is Rolling Back in Growth Form
Carol Bartz

On the company's 15th anniversary, Carol Bartz, Chief Executive for Yahoo Inc., revealed European judicial action against executives at Yahoo competitor Google Inc. on account of privacy violation is a situation that "concerns" her, according to reports.

Becoming a part of the company in January last year, as Yahoo faced plunging revenue and profit, Bartz immediately oversaw the layoff of 800 employees and initiated selling off pieces of the company that she said were outside Yahoo's core focus.

"I'm actually not usually very interested in government intervention in anything", Bartz quoted, according to Dow Jones. "I think for the most part markets work, and I'd rather be competitive in the market. I don't wish antitrust on anyone".

In context to Yahoo's own market performance, Bartz revealed that she didn't speculated Microsoft search engine Bing to exceed Yahoo's own search engine market share, which stands at 17%, according to Dow Jones.

Yahoo shares registered a slip of 6 cents or 0.38% in Tuesday's session to close at $15.73 a share. The stock was down another 5 cents in after-hours trading.
