Porsche Unveils 918 Spyder Plug-in Hybrid Concept

The new supercharged V6 hybrid, Porsche Cayenne, is set to make its debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

The generation-next, eye grabber, Cayenne has been designed with a sporting disposition. The weight of this SUV has been reduced and its new grids are entitled with sleeker lines.

The new Cayenne, which is 48 mm longer as compared to its predecessor, also has a 40 mm wider wheelbase, accompanied with new, eight-speed Tiptronic transmission.

Features like a parallel, full-hybrid drive system, with a combined power output of 380 hp from the supercharged V6 mated to the electric motor are some of the amazing components in the Cayenne .

Facilities to the consumers include switching off the gasoline engine and disengaging from the drivetrain at speeds of up to 156 km/h.

In addition to the lower Fuel consumption of 8.2 L/100 km, the Cayenne S Hybrid can cruise at high speeds on electric power alone.

Rating high on its efficiency, Cayenne S Hybrid can cover short distances on electric power alone, free of emissions and noise to 60 km/h.

The Canadian Porsche Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo are expected to hit the Canadian market in July.
