Titles for the Mac are a dismal representation of what's going on in gaming.
Doug Lombardi, Valve's VP of developer marketing, confirmed the company's plan to port some of its most popular games to the Mac. The two turrets from Portal and Team Fortress 2 are supposedly two of the first games to be ported.
Left 4 Dead and the Portal and Half-Life series are amongst the extremely popular games that Valve possesses.
Mac games will hopefully be connected to the cloud-based Steam service, where the users can play games on any PC while maintaining their state of gaming and community.
The Steam model suggests that users would most likely purchase additional services with the passage of time.
Windows XP was being used by 42% of steam users.
The currently available Mac hardware has similarity with Steam's user base, with dominance of the Intel chips and Nvidia graphics cards.
