Surgeons Saves A Man With Three – Week Erection

It has been reported that the surgeons of the Wockhardt Hospitals in Kolkata performed an emergency surgery to save a businessman whose problem was an erection. The problem was that his erection lasted him a whopping
21 days. It does seem like an overdose of Viagra, but it was not so. This prolonged erection was a result of a neurological disorder and it seems likely that the man, who did not wish to be named, would not be resuming his sexual activities.

The operation was reportedly a successful one but the only hitch was that the man was impotent. The 55 year old man had actually come too late. In usual conditions, the operation has to be performed within six hours as it could otherwise even result in the death of the man and of course, the degeneration of the penis is irrevocable.

This condition is called priapism, and is actually a result of the disorder in the nervous system. This condition does not let the blood drain out of the penis. It is a fact that the blood flow actually stops during erection and when it persists for more than an hour, it could result in the damage of the organ and further persistence could lead to the organ becoming gangrenous.
