Next-Generation "Lifestyle Coaches" to Target School Kids at Risk of Developing Weight Issues
children and improving their stamina and fitness levels

Recent reports have revealed that as many as 20,000 school kids, who are currently at high risk of developing weight problems, will be the target of a whole new generation of "lifestyle coaches".

The staff, which has been specially trained for the purpose, will be giving children an additional hour of physical activity each week, which would be on top of the general and regular PE classes.

As has been revealed by Government officials, the sessions would specifically be aimed at boosting the confidence of children and improving their stamina and fitness levels. The new activities are expected to be inclusive of yoga, martial arts and free running, which is a type of street acrobatics, wherein participants use walls, stairs and railings in order to perform different stunts.

The initiative has come amid growing fears over rates of obesity among school-aged children.
