Shire medicos has stressed that it seems that it is still too early to start celebrating the Federal Government's proposed merger of Australia's public hospitals into a countrywide network.
Earlier during the week, the Federal Government announced that it would be taking some decisive action in order to fix and overhaul Australia's health system.
As has been shared by Eden-Monaro MP Mike Kelly, through the establishment of a national network of health and hospitals, the Government would finally be able to put a stop to the blame game.
"People consistently told me it was time for us to get on with the job of improving the health system. The Government has listened to their concerns and is now taking decisive action to make our health system work", he said.
Shire medical experts, however, are not so optimistic.
"It's too early to tell. Having a single government take ownership has to be a great positive - if you can nail down a single (funding body) to take care of the holes in health. But, if that happens remains to be seen", said Batemans Bay Doctor David Rivett.
