The orders that have been placed for Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 notebook, which is on sale, will be available within 13 days. Lenovo has started shipping the two versions of IdeaPad Y460 the $999 Y460 - 063347U, and the $1,199 Y460 - 063346U, which are a part of its "mid-range" notebooks.

The former offers a 14-inch 1366x768 LED display, an Intel Core i3-330M 2.13GHz processor, integrated graphics with 4GB of DDR3 1066MHz RAM, a 320GB 5400RPM HDD, and a DVD burner. And the latter, with just 200 dollars additional, offers Core i5-520M 2.40GHz, a 1GB Radeon HD 5650, and 500GB of storage is provided.

The versions also have 1.3MP webcam, a six-cell battery, and run Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. For connectivity, it has 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, four USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, a six-in-one card reader, HDMI and VGA-out. Probably a 15-inch Y560 is also being sketched by the company but no details are known about its cost and market entry.
