From today onwards till 30 September 2010, whosoever will buy Microsoft Office 2007, will get a free upgrade of the equivalent version of Office 2010. This program will enable the customers to upgrade and download the new version for free.

The user can either buy Office 2007 or can get his or her new PC installed with Office 2007 and get the software activated before 30 September of this year. Though, the user must have a Windows Live ID.

The "Office 2010 Technology Guarantee" program would offer Office 2010 as a free download till 31 October 2010.

Though, the software will be available through DVD at a nominal fee in order to cover handling costs.

A spokesperson told CRN, "Resellers have already been made aware of the program, have received all sales and marketing materials and are offering the Office 2010 Technology Guarantee to customers today".
