Peugeot Australia gains momentum by expanding its Australian lineup. After having launched its Peugeot 4007, it will introduce its new Peugeot 3008(compact SUV) this month in Handa Women's Australian Open golf championship in Melbourne.
It is proposed for a launch in May. The best features of the SUVs, family hatchbacks and MPVs are amalgamated in Peugeot 3008. It won a lot of awards such Car of the Year for 2009 by British publication What Car? and the Auto Europa 2010 award after it was launched in Europe, last year.
Its attractive features will include grip control, dynamic roll control, and head-up display for the driver, distance alert, automatic electric parking brake, hill assist and many more.
As far as its outer appearance is concerned, it is inspired by the 308 and 207 model range.
Both the diesel and petrol variants are available with fuel economy figures low to the extent of 5.6 litres per 100km combined for the manual 2.0-litre HDi diesel.
Peugeot Automobiles Australia National Marketing Manager Richard Grant says, "It has a huge rear load area that is extremely versatile thanks to its adjustable floor. Combined with the extra ride height and commanding driving position it offers an ideal proposition for almost any leisure activity".
