Ever since Microsoft released its Windows 7 Operating System, which turned out to be a huge success, fans have been waiting for the new mobile operating system, which has been introduced in the form of the Windows Phone 7 Series by the technology giant.
The new mobile operating system has come as a fresh new platform, a complete break from the past versions in many ways. Right from the look and feel of the new offering from the way developers and software makers will write programs for it, there is a fresh approach to everything.
On Thursday, Microsoft had revealed that the primary tools for developers looking to work with the new platform will be Silverlight and XNA, and as far as the look of the device goes, as sketched at last month's Mobile World Congress, it will be much akin to the Zune HD instead of the the previous versions of the company's Windows Mobile platforms.
Many other interesting changes have been made to the latest mobile platform, right from the way things are presented to the approach taken to develop it. Microsoft has already demonstrated the Windows Phone 7 Series a few times, and even hardcore Apple fans are starting to get excited.
