Over 900 marijuana plants, located in the many rooms inside the Sallow Road home, have been discovered by police, during which a sophisticated marijuana grow operation was busted. A large rural grow operations in southeast Kelowna has now been closed by the RCMP.
The gate to a property in the 4400 block of Sallow Road was forced open by the officials just after midnight, and bylaw notices have now been posted on the front door to prevent anyone from living in the house or going inside it until a complete investigation has been carried out by the city of Kelowna.
A 29-year-old Kelowna woman, who now faces the charges of possession and production of a substance which has been declared as "controlled", possibly with an aim of trafficking, was arrested at the home, but was later released from custody. She has now been asked to appear in Court at a later date.
