Toronto's EnStream LP is about to launch a new wireless device, entitled "Zoompass", which is a 43 mm by 33 mm sticker, that can be connected to a mobile phone for making contactless purchases. It's an NFC chip. A Mobile Payments Trial has been introduced by Zoompass in Canada. Now, by using the mobile phones only, the pilot members would be capable of paying for their morning coffee and lunch at restaurants of junk food.
The tag has been proposed for the secure storage of the financial information on a server rather than on a mobile phone. Even if the mobile phone gets misplaced, Zoompass account of the customer is not at all spoiled. One can see each and every transaction on the mobile phone, as it's registered in the application of Zoompass.
It is available at most contactless payment ready places, Tim Hortons, McDonalds, Petro Canada and Loblaws being involved.
