Stop & Shop Wins Tentative Agreement with Labor Unions

The chain of supermarkets, Stop & Shop will be entering into an agreement with labor unions in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Stop & Shop executives will attend an official meeting with the unions on Sunday.

The unions have promised not to initiate a strike till the workers remain convinced with the agreement. Since January, Stop & Shop Co. has been struggling to gain these agreements with the local unions.

"Our associates very competitive wage packages and retirement benefits as well as access to quality, affordable health care", quoted the company.

The union members will be casting their votes tomorrow to decide the significance of the agreements.
