AT&T to Offer Motorola Backflip for $99, 2 Year Contract

Motorola has released yet another smartphone to the US market, and this one promises to be better than the previous popular handsets that the company had introduced. The Motorola Backflip, a unique phone as far as the design goes, has now been made available at the official AT&T website, for a mere $99 after rebate.

The Backflip from AT&T comes with a 2 year contract agreement. As far as the looks go, the phone is an amazing one, and it also has a long and impressive list of features.

AT&T has decided to now enter the Android market, as the company had recently promised. The Backflip unfolds like a picture frame to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard, and the phone comes pre-loaded with MOTOBLUR, which is Motorola's very own social networking application that syncs through different widgets for e-mail, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and more.

The Backflip boasts a touch-screen display, full HTML browser, camera with video recording, Wi-Fi, GPS, and much more.

The Backflip runs on the Android 1.5 OS, and users have the option of upgrading it to 2.1.
