After Consuming Marijuana Brownies, People Rushed to Hospital

On Friday, many people were hospitalized after consuming marijuana brownies at Huntington Beach, California.

Huntington Beach Police Lt., Craig Bryant, said that people eating at a restaurant on Main Street near Beach Boulevard complained of difficulty in breathing and hallucinations. They were taken to the hospital by the paramedics on request.

Since all of them had medical marijuana cards, police did not take any legal action against them.

The National Institutes of Health says that consuming marijuana can lead to more unpleasant reactions than inhaling a pot smoke. When a person is smoking marijuana, the drug's effects can be felt in seconds or minutes, but it takes 30 to 60 minutes for the drug to show its effects when you swallow it.
