The software giant Microsoft has reportedly released an advanced notification on its blog on security bulletin, which is giving out details on the upcoming Patch Tuesday security update release, which is expected to contain some lightweight fixes which would cover as many as eight important vulnerabilities in Windows and Office.
As has been shared by security experts, the two updates would address as many as 8 major security holes that have been identified in Windows XP operating system and Office productivity suite, that could allow remote code execution by cyber criminals and hacker by tricking users into opening a file which contains some malicious and unsafe content.
"To provide additional guidance for deployment prioritization, customers should note that both bulletins will address issues that would require a user to open a specially crafted file. There are no network based attack vectors", said Microsoft's Senior Security Communications Manager Lead, Jerry Bryant.
No patch, however, has yet been provided for the much controversial F1 help button vulnerability.
