Over a thousand UK gamers in London are set for the European launch of Final Fantasy XIII.
Final Fantasy XIII is a console role-playing game developed by Square Enix for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It has sold 92 million copies globally.
The initial 50 gamers brave enough to go through ridicule on the Tube and attend the launch event in game costumes will be awarded a free copy of the FF XIII soundtrack, inclusive of Leona Lewis’s track “My Hand” from her second album Echo.
The occasion will be hosted by TV celeb and DJ Alex Zane, and Final Fantasy's producer Yoshinori Kitase is visiting from Japan to sign copies of the game and meet the fans.
Demand for the newly launched game is expected to be very high. Within the first day of its Japanese release, Final Fantasy XIII had managed to clock over a million sales.
Launch events of game have started attracting the profile that was earlier reserved for film premieres.
