Players Strum Real Strings with Power Gig: Rise of the SixString

Seven45 Studios has declared a new music game, Power Gig: Rise of the SixString. It will be a treat for the players because it will allow them to strum a real six-string electric guitar instead of tapping buttons on an artificial instrument.

Jeff Walker, Vice President of Marketing at Seven45, said, "The leap to playing guitar will be seamless".

In the past, games like "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band" became immensely popular. But now these have seen a drop since many consumers are not in favor of spending big money for playing these fake musical instruments.

The maker, Seven45 are hopeful that "Power Gig" will grab people’s attention, and will be welcomed for its novelty.

"Power Gig" is slated for release at Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Though the exact price has not been revealed, estimates are that it will be equivalent to other music games in the market that cost around minimum $70 and as much as $200.

It will be accessible for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 gaming consoles.
