The U. S. health officials have reported that after witnessing four major errors in 2009, the Alberta Health Services has taken up serious measures to provide better protection to the patients.
The special review which had reported the errors has also recommended Alberta to provide all the details of the previous goof ups to the public.
The changes adopted by the health group include change of equipments.
Last year, a medicine was injected into the vein of a child which was supposed to be given via a stomach tube. Another was given overdoses and one more was provided the wrong breast milk.
Alberta’s interim Vice President Margaret Fullerton, explained the details have not been disclosed in view of preserving the privacy of the children.
