Motorola’s Android-Based Handset Unveiled

A new Android-based handset had been made public by Motorola last month, in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The new Motorola QUENCH / CLIQ XT can be seen on the shelves very soon. Motorola says that it will be put to sale before the end of this month under the name of CLIQ XT in the U. S. A series of hands-on photos have emerged with it.

According to Engadget, the Motorola CLIQ XT is thinner than the DROID, is far lighter than it was expected and has an attractive purple rubbery back.

The performance level of the phone is good, if not excellent. Browser runs smoothly on the CLIQ XT, irrespective of how many navigation windows are opened and the MotoBlur solution also works accurately.

Engadget has observed that its clickable touchpad is good for maneuvering through smaller menus. In the multitouch feature, the pinching to zoom is very responsive in both the newly improved Photo Gallery as well as in the browser. We may watch a YouTube video in the browser, the video was laggy. It has a 5 megapixel cam too.
