Sale of Retweet.com Took Place for $250,000

Retweet. com, site significantly analogous services like Tweetmeme, unveiled back in August 2009 for twitter which offer retweet option to site owner and site is touching cloud 9 day by day, the now big news is that Retweet. com put itself for sale at Flippa last month.

Everything at Retweet. com including the features, its functionality, and the business model was quite significantly similar to the original Tweetmeme site.

Many people wondered how Retweet hoped to witness a gain in any market share. It seems like after 8 months of striving, the owners finally tried to get rid of it.

Retweet. com was launched for an auction on February 17th 2010 and was reported to finally have been sold for a decent sum of $250,000 yesterday.

Also, it was posted that there was a total of 45 bids before one, whose identity is still not known, decided to pay the Buy It Now price of $250,000.

The auction took place on Flippa, a premium market place for buying and selling websites. This transaction fetched the highest price somebody has ever paid for a website on Flippa.
