The Virginia General Assembly has given a green signal to a bill that will disable the Government's intervention in the process of individual purchasing of insurance services. The bill will find its implementation in Virginia initially.

Gov. Bob McDonnell, a Republican, will be signing it shortly.

Following this, more than 34 other states in the country would be seeking the approval of the bill.

The bill received the support of five prominent democrats.

They are of the view that the Federal Government should not have an access to the personal choice of an individual.

However, the opponents of the bill defended the Government by explaining that inviting young and healthier people under insurance is a good way to reduce costs.
