NJ Cops Seize Marijuana Worth $10 Million

The cops in New Jersey have spotted an operation wherein a man named Thu N. Nguyen, a Canadian citizen, was found burning the non-viable stocks of marijuana in a house in Monroe, Middlesex County. The cops have found a crop of around 1000 marijuana plants grown in the house.

The cops marked the heavy smoke coming out of the house and recognized it immediately.

Following this, they arrested three people and seized the stocks of marijuana worth $10 million.

"The Garden State is not a designation that we are willing to accept for the cultivation of marijuana", State Police Major Matt Wilson.

Thomas Lucasiewicz, the Monroe Police Officer, was the first one to note the smoke on the 17th of February.

Describing the rescue settings in Nguyen's home, Kraivec said, "It was a mess. The house was an electrical nightmare".

The very next day of the arrests, four other homes in Old Bridge were also being investigated by the cops.

Tuan A. Dang and Ngoc H. Bui were the other two being arrested.

"They might be called tenant farmers in one sense because of their use of rental properties, but they weren't struggling to pay rent", said state Attorney General Paula Dow.

She further said that post 9/11 an attack, the marijuana supply has become tough to operate and this has given way to such indoor operations.
