Canada's Research in Motion has initiated manufacturing BlackBerry smartphones in Brazil, with young people as its primary target and for the very first time users of the more sophisticated mobile phones in Latin America's largest economy, co-Chief Executive Jim Basillie informed Reuters on Wednesday.
BlackBerry Storm2 may now feature a fully-functional display screen, with the company reporting to introduce few changes in the display screen of the device.
The Waterloo-Ontario based company is reported to have signed an accord with Singapore's Flextronics to manufacture the Curve 8520 model in Brazil, Basillie added.
Earlier, users reported having bad touchscreen experience when it came to Storm2, as the screen posed numerous problems.
Also, there are claims that there have been a lot of units posing troubles in the lower left hand corner of the screen in particular had also been doing the rounds. But luckily, RIM appears to be looking into those aspects.
It is reported that Verizon stores have been ordered to return their current stock in favor of new Storm2s with 'silicone actuators' included to boost touchpad performance and tactile response.
