LG, one of the largest producers of electronics, chemicals and telecommunications have proposed to launch its first 3D TVs in the month of May. It aims to please the customers with its product launch at the time of summer's World Cup.
Its 3D TV, LX9900, similar to every other 3D TV, requires the user to wear sunglasses to get the maximum effect and entertainment with its dimensions, which is available in 47-inch and 55-inch options and supports 1080p high-definition images.
Stephen Gater, head of marketing at LG said: "We've seen such enormous interest and excitement from consumers around 3D TV that we choose to bring the LX9900 televisions to the shelves ahead of schedule, to meet the demand."
The tag price of the device has not been decided officially so far, LG has tagged the price of £2,500 to £3,000 exclusively for the 47-inch LX9900 and approximately £300 has been marked for the BX580 Blue-ray player. Its rival, Samsung has proposed the concept of 3D TVs at the first place in the UK and it is being expected to arrive way before LG. It's another opponent; Sony is not likely to launch the technology till June.
