Bayer to Face Legal Actions by the Contraceptive Users

Canadian females have prepared to take a legal action against a Bayer Inc., manufacturer of birth control pills Yaz and Yasmin, which have made them face some intense health problems.

Women claim that information regarding elevated stroke risks and other health problems were not properly communicated to them and the ignorance caused them health troubles. These oral contraceptive pills used by thousands of females were permitted to be used by Health Canada in the year 2004 and 2008.

Tony Merchant Law Group LLP is the firm that launched a litigation class-action in B. C on Thursday. The firm claimed that complain were filled by dozens of women across Canada. According to the females, using those pills resulted in medical disorders like blood clots, pulmonary embolisms, and gall bladder problems.

The company has been alleged by Siskinds LLP to be unsuccessful in properly conveying the after effects of the Yasmin and Yaz pills to the doctors and the patients as well.

"We believe that through this lawsuit Bayer will be required to explain to Canadian consumers what it knew about the risks associated with using these pills", said Matthew Baer, Siskinds's lawyer. Bayer Inc. admitted that they have received lawsuits that company is under process of collecting information regarding the cases.
