Heavy Pre-orders for Apple's iPad
Heavy Pre-orders for Apple's iPad

On Friday, in a matter of six hours, Apple booked approximately 91,000 pre-orders for its much awaited iPad.

According to analysts' forecast, iPad's sales could soar to 5 million in the first year itself.

Engadget. com conducted a survey on 60,000 gadget freaks if they considered buying an iPad that starts at $499. According to the result, around 19% said yes, 65% were negative, and 16% did not know what an iPad is.

Though the iPad is being seen as an entertainment and media device for customers, it offers some great apps for business use.

The iPad can be used by executives to display product or service presentations without having to carry a laptop or notebook.

Equipped with more than 150,000 apps, and new apps in the pipeline, business professionals will not have any trouble finding uses for it.

The iPad comes with an iPad case, which provides protection for the display from getting scratched or cracked when you carry it around.

The iPad case also has a special folding capability that lets the iPad prop up at just the right angle for looking at the presentations or videos.

The iPad will hit the markets on April 3.
