Valve's Gabe Newell appreciates Biometrics technology
Game's Developer Choice Awards

Valve's Gabe Newell, the winner of the Pioneer award at the Game's Developer Choice Awards, has strongly given his consent to the concept of Biometrics and predicts that this technology lays good prospects for gaming in the future.

Biometrics comprises methods for uniquely recognizing humans based upon one or more intrinsic physical or behavioral traits His extravert sensing for Gaming does not hold him to keep his believes about the Gaming future with himself rather he shared them at Game's Developer Choice Awards.

Gabe Newell, the Half-Life creator said, "We think biometrics will be really important".

He commented that lately after the launch and success of Wii, they realized the importance of motion, vision systems and the varied generation of controllers which will affect the gaming system.

He said, "Given that we have all these proxies inside of our games, that measure player state, we think that actually being able to measure small things like pupil dilation, heart rate -- those are the techniques that are going to give our games enormous impact in the future."

Nintendo's vitality Sensor detects the pulse of the gamer while playing the games. It is also on the footsteps of Valve and appreciates the importance of biometrics.
