Concerns regarding intense problem of having very few competitors for the agricultural practices resulting in only a few heading the industry, were raised by the Attorney General, Eric H. Holder on behalf of Obama administration. Attorney General expressed this concern in the Midwestern farm country on Friday and announced that on Friday Obama administration intends to evade the culture.
He said that administration wants to dilute the cluster that has been created due to precise domination of the industry processing meat, milk and seed.
Mr. Holder raised the issue that agricultural industry is facing lack of free and fair competition in the marketplace while he entertained some public meeting attended by about 500 farmers.
The meetings were meant to discuss issues highlighted by farmers saying that a small number of large companies dominate agricultural markets". This dictation leads to a central obligatory control over the seeds, milk and livestock raised by the farmers. These public gatherings were co-hosted by the agriculture secretary, Tom Vilsack.
Addressing the reporters, Mr. Holder said, "You will see an historic era of enforcement that will almost inevitably grow from the partnership that we have established".
