Race for Life, a Gift on Mother’s Day

Cancer Research UK will be organizing a fund raising event on the rescheduled date for this year's event is June 20th Sunday, in which daughters and mothers are being urged to take part together, as a gift for Mother's day.

According to the organization, this 5km race organized every year is a perfect present of health that can be offered by this race exclusively meant for females. Cancer Research also believes that race will provide a "quality time". The race is sketched to be performed from Don Valley Stadium around Attercliffe.

11,546 women took part in the Sheffield race last year in which event £548,100 was collected. For this year's event the entries till now have reached a count of 3,500 participants. It is being predicted that almost 11,500 women will take part in the event raising about £550,000 for funds.

The Event Manger of the race, Helen Webster sated that in order to express the endless love that daughters have for their mothers, race is an excellent opportunity. She also said that race will be offering a valuable time spent for the purpose of fundraising as well as spending some moments together.
