Undisputed Win for Pacquiao Improves his Records

An undisputed victory was bagged by Filipino Manny Pacquiao who posed a strong turn against Ghanaian Joshua Clottey. This victory re-earned Pacquiao the WBO welterweight title on Saturday. In Cowboys Stadium packed with 51,000 audiences, the opposition attack could not beat the continuous punching of to the winner.

However Pacquiao appreciated the defense by Clootey calling him a “good defense fighter”. In the one sided fight, the Clottey could only keep his hands in front of his face in order to save himself from the uninterrupted attacks coming from Pacquiao.

Pacquiao was awarded the entire round by one of the judges while the other two released a 119-109 decision. Out of 1,231 punches that Pacquiao posed, 20% were considered landed.

Filipino's trainer Freddy Roach was not happy with the performance as he said that it was a one time opportunity that Clottey lost and that he failed to understand why his trainee not tried to win.

Clottey could just throw one strong punch with a left uppercut and a heavy left hook. Praising the champion, Clotty admitted that Pacquiao was extremely speedy and very strong.

The win has improved the Campion’s trace to 51-3-2 i. e. 38 knockouts, where Clottey faced a dip of 35-4. It is being suspected that the fight will be re-conducted and Pacquiao readily said that he was ready for another.
