Knee Injury Just a Small Bump for Indian Wells’ Third Round Winner Rafael Nadal

The third round of BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells was won effortlessly by Rafael Nadal as he secured a victory of 6-4 6-4 over Germany's Rainer Schuettler. Nadal won this match following a quick recovery from knee injury suffered by the player in the quarter-final of the Australian Open.

In the doubles match, American pair Andy Roddick and James Blake won by 7-5 7-6 (7-5) Britain's Andy Murray and Ross.

Svetlana Kuznetsova, Russian top seed lost the woman’s singles to Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro by 6-4 4-6 6-1. Austrian Sybille Bammer was also defeated by Victoria Azarenka of Belarus by 6-1 7-5 points.

On other hand Kim Clijsters, defeated Czech Barbora Zahlavova Strycova by 6-2 6-1 after the terrible defeat of 6-0 6-1 by Nadia Petrova in Australian Open.

Nadal’s was the star performance as he said, "It was a good start in the conditions for me and I'm very happy”. He expressed that he was facing difficulty while playing with backhand. Playing with forehand was easier the Third-seed said. Nadal will be playing against Mario Ancic in the third round.
