Floria Sigismondi’s next film “The Runaways” finds its basis on the autobiography of Cherie Currie, the rock band singer of the 70s, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.
The auto-biography titled "Neon Angel: A Memoir of a Runaway" depicts Currie, who has a record of being a runaway in her career ranging from acting to drug counseling and then in personal training.
Although Currie seems too excited for the movie but Michael Shannon’s role in it as band svengali Kim Fowley seems to be upsetting her, as she calls it “unreal”.
Currie has credited Jett for making her feel special while working on the set and preparing the soundtracks for the first time after 1977.
"It was as if time had stood still, as if these last 35 years never happened", she recalled.
She added that sitting on the vocal booth brought her immense pleasure.
Her autobiography was published in 1989 as a young adult book, initially. However, the latest versions involved sex, drugs and darkness in the publication. She wrote it when she was 27.
The movie will be released on March 19th.
