Apple Inc. has come up with a plan that will allow the users to replace the iPad batteries. The replacement plan comes with the condition that the battery will not be replaced in case of disastrous damages caused to the phone or battery due to liquid contact, unlicensed modifications or accidents.

The procedure will expect the user to pay $99 for the service. An additional $6.95 will be included as shipping charges. The replaced battery may not be brand-new, it can rather be a repaired one but with a fresh outside covering.

The users are advised to maintain a back of the previous settings before submitting the phone for the battery replacement, as the procedure involves the reset-settings function.

The most appreciated part of the service is that the replacement cost remains same for all the versions of iPad.

With this move, Apple has been trying to maintain the customer confidence. Also, the company has now managed to escape the censorship of Foundation for Consumer and Taxpayer Rights, which had criticized it for not having provided battery replacement mechanism before the launch of iPhone, in 2007.
