"Hubble 3D" - An Exciting Imax Journey into Space World

The Imax Space team, in association with NASA, has come up with its latest endeavour, "Hubble 3D", which is produced with Warner Bros. and directed by Toni Myers. It promises to not only take you in outer space, but for the first time, make the old "Star Trek" trickery of "warp speed" a reality.

The 3D IMAX film was premiered during the weekend at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas. It is expected to join its predecessors at 40 IMAX theatres on Friday, while a bigger release is scheduled for August in more than 100 locations.

The film focuses on the Hubble Telescope, the first-ever space-based observatory in orbit 350 miles above Earth. Just like other parts, one may get it at Best Buy, though the Hubble requires revamping and upgrading.

It is heartbreaking to watch the astronauts take on the tough jobs of dealing with stuck or stripped bolts and complex installations, all done by space walkers with only their suits between them and instant death. Needless to say that 3D experience is amazing; it makes you feel that you are actually there.

By using advanced computer visualization, the film sweeps the audiences on scientifically realistic flights through time and space.

The film is well narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio.
