Being appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS, lately, Priety Zenta, the co-owner of the IPL team Kings XI Punjab, selected an HIV positive woman for the tossing of the coin for Saturday's opening face-off between Delhi Daredevils and her own team.
In addition to this, she has shot an advertisement for the promotion of the message against stigma and discrimination faced by the AIDS patients. Her team will be donating 25% of the total benefit-amount coming out of the Series, to UNAIDS.
"We want to create awareness for HIV-AIDS in India", she said.
In a country like India where 2.3 million have been affected by AIDS already, Miss Zinta has presented a brilliant picture of fulfilling her responsibilities as a citizen of the country.
The 35-year old women, who was chosen was by Miss Zinta for the toss, has been pursuing a mission of rehabilitating more than 200 other people suffering from the deadly disease.
Miss Zinta also made the players of her team wear red ribbons to endorse the cause of the patients. She shared her plans for coming up with a film on this issue.
