Farbio was established in 2005, building a lucrative business prospect for itself. The special attraction is its carbon fiber-bodied GTS.
Even though Farbio has been taken over by Ginetta, the production would continue in Farbio’s Bath headquarters, said the founder Chris Marsh.
With the hard work lent by Chris Marsh and his team, Ginetta Chairman Lawrence Tomlinson seems to be highly impressed.
It was a welcome move for both of the parties as it is expected to bring in a lot of stability, additional resources and income.
The acquisitions by Ginetta can further develop on the existing carbonfibre component facility, whilst using Ginetta’s considerable motorsport qualifications and inherently strong brand identity to increase the popularity internationally.
For now, Ginetta’s plan is to launch the F400, with the 260bhp and 350bhp with an expected cost of over £90,000.
The Autosport show in January saw the unveil of the Ginetta G40, a compact rear-drive sports car with a 1.8-litre 140bhp Ford Zetec engine and a neat 850kg chassis and it is supposed to become popular amongst 14-17 year olds Junior Championship racers.
