Australian cat survives falling 34 floors

Australian cat survives falling 34 floorsSydney  - Tomcat Voodoo survived falling from the 34th floor of an apartment building at the Gold Coast in Queensland, eastern Australia, ABC Radio reported on Wednesday.

Owner Sheree Washington said 7-year-old Voodoo disappeared from her apartment, where he often sat on a small ledge outside, on Monday night.

"Obviously he was looking over too far and went," she said. "So he fell 34 floors and was lucky enough to land in some bushes which I think have saved him."

Washington said he suffered some scratches and hurt a paw and was still under the weather. "I don't know that he'll even want a prawn for Christmas," she said. (dpa)
