Man Threatens Hospital Staff with Syringe

It came as a shock for the Hospital staff of Gunnedah, when a 32 year old man entered the treatment room of a nurse and grasped her by the arm. He also threatened one of the doctors with the syringe which was in his possession. The whole incident could prove to be extremely dangerous.

The man was undergoing a treatment for throat infection but suddenly forced the nurse to take him to the emergency room and demanded for some drugs which he was in extreme need of. This incident took place around 1:00 p. m. (AEDT)

The man escaped from the scene of crime but was arrested by a team of Police Officers after four hours, as he was roaming in the vicinity of Gunnedah Hospital.

After the medical examination was conducted on him, he was charged for allegedly attacking the staff with violent intentions and robbery.

The Tamworth police officer conducted some rounds of interrogation with the accused, and he was denied a bail. He was also due to appear before the court for further interrogation.
